Un evento internazionale. Uno dei maggiori pianisti cubani contemporanei in un concerto solista che esplora il vibrante panorama delle tradizioni musicali della sua terra, dalla classica del XIX secolo al moderno jazz afro-cubano, e i loro profondi legami con il jazz americano. Lo spettacolo celebra il virtuosismo, il lirismo, l’identità culturale e lo spettacolo in egual misura.

Dayramir González
A protege of the great Chucho Valdes, Yamaha Artist Dayramir González stands at the forefront of a new generation of Afro-Cuban jazz innovators. A virtuosic pianist, composer, and arranger, González made his early mark winning top honors at Havana’s JoJazz Festival (2004, 2005). Since his debut album with his Habana enTRANCé band in Havana 2007, Dayramir has received the highest awards at Havana’s JoJazz festival in 2004 and 2005 and three Cubadisco awards for his 2007 debut album “Dayramir & Habana enTRANCé” before proceeding to Berklee College of Music (2010) as the first Cuban national “Presidential Scholarship” recipient. Since completing his formal education González have performed in 15,000-seat stadiums with legends Chucho and Bebo Valdes and headlined Carnegie Hall, as a representative of the young generation of Afro- Cuban jazz. In recent years with multiple recorded albums in his portfolio González have developed an international following with clubs, concert halls, and festival appearances throughout the North and South America, as well as Europe. As a United States citizen, he still perform annually in Cuba at the legendary Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana, while staying close to his cultural and creative roots.
